Itinerary

We will explore some of the local sights of Tangier. You will visit the souk and the Kasbah. After we will travel towards Chefchaouen, stopping at the Caves of Hercules. After we will travel to Tetouan, the Berber name meaning “the eyes”. Once we have visited the town we will stop to have lunch before departing for Chefchaouen. In Chefchaouen you will see the village and its brightly painted medina. Chefchaouen, referred to as the city of blue doors, is one of the prettiest towns in Morocco. Its beauty and the relaxed atmosphere of the town make Chefchaouen very appealing. Your accommodations and dinner will be in your hotel in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, we will leave Chefchaouen to travel to Fes. On our way, we will stop to visit the Roman Ruins of Volubilis. The ruins remained substantially intact until an earthquake devastated them in the mid-18th century. Next to Meknes, one of the four Imperial cities, where you will visit the famous El Hedim Square, the Mausoleum of Sultan Moulay Ismail, and the Old Medina. Your accommodations and dinner will be in your hotel in Fes.

You will have a guided tour to discover the medina and the famous Souks of Fes, its narrowed cobbled streets are filled with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets, as well as the unique Andalusian architecture in every corner of the old city and its monuments. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University (the oldest university in the world). The tour will includes also a visit to the tanneries and the ceramic cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts. overnight at hotel/riad.

After breakfast, we continue our journey to Merzouga via the Ifran. We will stop to have some coffee with a little glimpse of the city. Then, we will visit cedar forests, where we will enjoy seeing monkeys climbing the trees. Lunch will be in Midelt, the apple capital, at the foot of the Ayachi Mountain. We will cross the Tizi-n-Talremt mountains, an altitude of 1907 meters above the sea, to get to the Ziz Valley. The ziz valley is particularly well known for its big palm trees oasis. From there, we will pass through Errachidia and then Erfoud. This latter is famous for its date festival and fossils. By the evening, we will get to the Merzouga desert. The first night will be in a hotel with dinner and breakfast.

After breakfast, we will start exploring the area. We will begin by visiting the village of black people originally from Mali to enjoy their traditional Gnawa music and the way they live. After that, we will drive to Miffis to meet Berber nomad families living in tents who will offer a cup of tea. Our guide will be happy to show you around and explain how people live there. Before returning to the hotel, our leader will teach you how to mount and dismount the camel. And the handy camel-related safety tips. After the quick tips, you will Enjoy the best camel ride you ever had in life with a sunset view. Overnight at a luxury camp Merzouga.

In the morning, you will enjoy the fascinating sunrise. Afterward, you ride back the camels to the hotel for a quick shower. Along the way, you will stop to visit the traditional market of Sijilmassa and possibly the Mausoleum of the founder of the Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco. This town, was the ancient capital of Tafilalet and was known for its crossroads between north and south. Our second stop will be in the great canyons of Morocco Todra Gorges. The contrasting landscapes of Tinghir remind visitors of Colorado. The area is populated by the Berbers. In addition, you can enjoy a hike among those fabulous canyons. Then, we will pass through Boumalne Dades, situated on the edge of Dades valley, which raises in the High Atlas Mountains giving life to a huge Berber community. You will spend the night at a hotel in the valley with dinner and breakfast.

Today, we start our journey by visiting the biggest cinema studio, Hollywood Africa, in Ouarzazate. It's also known as the biggest solar power station in Africa. In terms of creativity, Ouarzazate is famous for handicrafts wooden gates, silver, and rugs. Later, we head to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, the Unesco world heritage site. Many international movies were filmed, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and Game of Thrones. Your adventure will continue through the Atlas mountains, Tizi n’Tichka Pass 2260m, where you enjoy the special Berber villages. This latter is built with adobe and gives a very typical feeling to your soul. By the evening, you will get to Marrakech and check in to your hotel.

The next day after breakfast, you will have a guided tour through Marrakech. This guided tour will include discovering the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, the Souks, and numerous other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will explore the historical Koutoubia Mosque and the bustling Jemaa el-Fna, one of the central interests of Marrakech, the breathing heart of the Medina. This brings you further to appreciate an enthusiastic night with the local performers, storytellers, and mouth-watering grilled dishes. This wonderful tour also includes a visit to Madrassa Ben-Youssef. In the afternoon, we will visit the Majorelle gardens. In 1919, Jacques Majorelle an expatriate French painter settled in Morocco and purchased the land that would eventually become Majorelle Garden. He created a beautiful home, workshop, and vast garden where he could dabble in his hobby of growing exotic plants and trees. The gardens opened to the public in 1947 but severely deteriorated after his death in 1962. In the late afternoon, the driver will take to have a look at the new city (Guilez). At night, enjoy a stunning dinner at your accommodation.

After your morning breakfast, we will depart for Casablanca, it is the capital industrial city in Morocco and one of the largest financial centers on the continent. It is considered the economic and business center of Morocco. It hosts the primary navel base for the Royal Moroccan Navy. We will take a panoramic tour of the city and visit the exterior of the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in North Africa, and the 13th
largest in the world. We will have lunch in some restaurants there and in the afternoon, you will be free to walk alone.

After breakfast, we will drive to rabat city and visit some of the main spots in the city. Hassan 2 Tower will be on our list and of course. Also, we will have some time to have a coffee. For Lunch, it will be in Asilah. We will Drop you off at your hotel at Tangier.
